Sandeep Garg MD, FACC

Sandeep Garg MD, FACC

“I feel like when I’m treating patients, I’m not just treating their heart condition, I’m treating a person, and to me that is most valuable thing about being a doctor.”

Dr. Sandeep Garg is a cardiovascular physician who strives to make an impact beyond his immediate circle of influence.  Being born and raised in India, his aspirations brought him to the U.S. more than 25 years ago, to fulfill the dream of a profession that he has enjoyed for the last 20 years.  After finishing his medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas in 1997, Sandeep decided to venture out west and moved to Oregon with his wife and children.

His passion lies in preventive cardiology and lifestyle changes to help his patients prevent heart disease and other chronic health conditions, so later you don’t have to treat them.  The attitude to do more and the passion to bring about change, is what drives him.  He enjoys challenges and carries the will to overcome them.  If it is tough, then it must be worth doing it.  Beyond practice of medicine, he enjoys reading and watching his son play hockey.

In his free time, Dr. Garg enjoys running and playing ice hockey.
